I can’t believe this has its own animation

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 07:11 PM PST

I was fighting a boss and accidentally crouched at the end of his combo. Then he tried to thrust stab me and I Mikiri countered it from the ground. Was just cool to see combat still be so fluid instead of having sekiro suddenly revert to standing up when he mikiri counterd crouched. Would not have expected it from any other game

Just cleared play through 4. Only 19 skill points left to farm, but I'm calling it here.

Just cleared play through 4. Only 19 skill points left to farm, but I'm calling it here.

    Play through 1: 56 hours:>! Dragon's Homecoming!<

Play through 2: 6 hours: Purification

Play through 3: 3 hours: Shura

    Play through 4: 3 hours:>! Immortal Severance!<

I think this is the first game where I actually got all the endings. I had quite the chuckle in the Shura play through when my first death was against Ishin. I decided to not ask Emma if she would look into curing the dragon rot.

    Special mention to Tyrannicon.

Is everything after the incense a hallucination?

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 05:01 PM PST

Is it implied that the incense sends Sekiro on a hallucinogenic spirit journey? Granted there is a lot of fantasy/ sci fi aspects before the Fountainhead Palace section, but everything from the Giant Strawman to the big dragon are particularly out there. And after you defeat the divine dragon, you awaken back in Kuro's room in front of the incense burner as if implying that it was more a vision journey as opposed to a giant ropeman literally carrying Sekiro up a mountain.

Much like the "time traveling" visions to Hirata Estate, Sekiro seems to be playing fast and loose with what is real during the whole Fountainhead Palace section. Is the Divine Realm just Sekiro "opening his mind" so to speak?

Just beat Isshin Sword Saint for the first time. Used all my pellets, 3 ceremonial tanto, all healing gourds and respawns and then fell off running away from Isshin. Safe to say the hands have never been so sweaty respawning back in with a third of his health left. Playthrough 2 here I come...

Despite how cool it looks, lightning attacks are objectively a bad thing for the bosses that use them. 100% of the time. (minor spoilers)

    Posted: 27 Jan 2020 01:52 PM PST

Genichiro was a cake walk in his 3rd phase, and Isshin's 3rd form was easily the quickest and most easiest of his 3 forms because of his insistence of using lightning attacks.

I probably wouldn't have beaten the game if Isshin's 3rd phase was 100% identical to his 2nd phase, as by the time I reached it, I ran out of heals, all blown to beat his 2nd phase.
