    Lego Sekiro

I'm having a lot of trouble with this boss. Hardest I've faced so far. Anyone know how to exploit the weaknesses listed on the wiki?

I just want to talk about sekiro and how I feel, as a gamer, appreciated for the amount of work they put into their games.

When I was younger, I felt more fulfilled with the current state of gaming. I was never bored waiting for my next quick fix due the plethora of games out there waiting to be played. I had every game I wanted at my finger tips and all I had to do was install.

As I'm getting older, games are no longer able to fulfill that sense of adventure. I also don't want to buy a game, just to buy a season pass for an extra $40 to get the rest of the content. It's all battle royales and mobas. Just adhd 30 minute games with no real sense of progression or excitement. Just "I'm better than you, you suck". Just a note, I am pretty good at league, so this isn't bashing the games because I suck. I have started to feel like true gaming adventures are a dying breed in a sea of these online competitive games. I'm no longer able to just find a game that encapsulates unadulterated joy that I experienced just a few years ago.

I bought Sekiro on release day, but I was only able to get to Genichiro before I had to put it down due to real life shit. I intended to pick it back up, but I never did. I'm a huge From Software fan and I enjoy every game they make considering I still pick up Dark Souls 1/2/3 to do speed runs every once in awhile.

Well, two days ago, I was talking to a friend about From Software games and he brought up Sekiro. I told him I never beat it and that's when he told me I should pick it back up. I completely forgot about it and I said "you know what? I will give it another shot" so I did.

Now, I just want to say, thank you From Software. The amount of soul and passion you put into this title is nothing short of extraordinary. The combat is creative and even though there is only one weapon to use, the amount of variability in each encounter is truly thought provoking. The visuals are some of the most beautiful and carefully crafted scenery I can think of in a game. The different zones don't feel like rehashed assets. With each new area I discover it feels like I'm in another world. The story is beautiful and engaging, I truly feel like Kuros personal body guard (I haven't finished the game, so I can't go into more detail).

Last but not least, the bosses. Every. Single. Boss. Feels unique and is a worthy adversary. From Software creates the best bosses in the industry and it's not even close. I just fought the headless ape and holy mother of fucking god, when grabbed that sword and sliced his head off, I felt like a god. Then when he rose from the dead and grabbed the sword, I nearly shit myself with excitement and terror. Every boss is a mountain to climb and when I reach the top, I feel a real sense of accomplishment.

From Software, as a gamer and as someone who is sick of this DLC bullshit, I want to say thank you. You are truly one of the best developers out there. You release games filled to the brim with content and I've never been let down. You deserve all of the recognition you get and I have faith that your integrity for game design and content will never let me down.

Edit: I did have one thing I don't like about the game so far and that is Lady Butterfly. I hate that boss with a passion and I hope she is gone forever. There is always one boss in each soulsborne game that has my number... ceaseless discharge, the gargoyle bosses, father Gascogne, and the nameless king. They frustrate me beyond comprehension and it doesn't matter how many times I play the game, they always take me a long time.

Am I now one of you now? 😭https://i.imgur.com/yy3VD8E.jpg

Only my second plat though, so I still got a ways to go if I'm gonna plat all these From games. I haven't even beaten DeS yet... lol.

Hardest boss for me was Sword Swaint on NG+ without the charm and with the demon bell. Old bastard killed me so many times, but he's a great teacher.

Favorite boss is Owl, either version - SUPER cool character too, one of my personal favorites that From has made. Hardest mini boss was Snake Eyes in Gun Fort on my first playthrough (I didn't have Sabimaru yet). Favorite mini boss is Orin, very unique and hectic fight that can gobble up your posture if you aren't good at the timing.

How about y'all? Who were your hardest bosses/mini bosses and who were your favorites? I wanna compare now!

How long did it take you to beat New Game Plus?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 10:00 PM PST

I beat the game at 80 hours, now I'm wondering how fast I can beat it in New Game Plus 1 With Kuro's Charm?

Thoughts on how long it would take?

Me after struggling with father owl for 3 hours and watching a video about how to beat him. (Substitute all instances of “the bear” with “father owl” in video)

Who's your favorite character in the game?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 01:35 PM PST

Pretty self explanatory question. It can be a main, side, mini-boss, boss, or lore only character, just as long as they're your favorite character. For me I think it's Genichiro Ashina.

Never played any soulsborne games and I just brought Sekiro how screwed am I?

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 03:04 PM PST

I've never played any dark souls or bloodborne or any game nearly that hard plus I generally suck at video games but I want to be able to say I did it. How screwed am I being a complete noob to these games?

So, I realized something today about the Centipede enemies in Senpou. (Spoilers?) And also a question about centipedes in general.

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 07:05 AM PST

I realized that the things on their back aren't armor or anything but the legs of the centipedes controlling the person. These people seem to be in between the monks (relatively normal humans) and the infested monks in the Main Hall (basically a husk).

My question is where did the centipedes come from? Did the Corrupted Monk become the first one infested and spread the centipede eggs through the Fountainhead Waters? It would explain why the monks and the Guardian Ape become infested, and why the people in Mibu are crazy (but not infested?).

Just something I couldn't really find anywhere.
