    Discovering Sekiro through this quarantine

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 10:45 PM PDT

So my bf made me fall in love with most Dark Souls game this year. The thing is he tried playing Sekiro a year ago and quit it about 6 times. Our running gag is that he's never gonna pick it up again. And that I should absolutely try cause I'll suck and hate it...

Or so it was. Quarantine yada yada yada and we decided that I'd try the game. Strangely I fell in love with the look and feel of it, the storytelling the stealth and being able to jump and climb everywhere.

It was like playing the first Dark Soul all over again, discovering the universe one step at a time without having seen anything from the game. My favorite part is still finally after an entire night of trying to kill Lady Butterfly, posture breaking her, killing her to discover she had a second phase... I refused to fight her for the rest of the day, it took me everything to bring her there, I had no healing left, there would be no way I could kill her...

Next day? I pick up the controller and bring her to second phase in a minute while using a single gourd? I die because I suck at handling multiple enemies. Repeat the cycle a few times and give up for the rest of the day again.

I spent the next day watching my bf play, he ended up picking up the game again and unsurprisingly he's much better than he used to be he one shots almost everything except the blazing bull, that weird dude before Genichiro, Genichiro himself and the great ape. I refused to play myself I'm tired I never want to fight Lady Butterfly again in my life.

And comes tonight where I decide to give it one more shot, and I kill her on my first try!

(I know she's an early game boss but I still feel low-key proud and I needed to share)

2.5 months, 152 hours of playtime, 4 play throughs, and countless deaths later, i finally platinumed Sekiro even after it seemed impossible the first week. it is so bittersweet.

Sekurosawa - A mod that makes the game an Akira Kurosawa movie with monochrome filters and by changing the music and sound to samurai movie soundtracks.

I made the hero himself. I did it with the photos app so it was a bit shitty.

LOOONG time lurker and Holy shit this is a bad quality picture but I had to post this somewhere. Took me so long to complete. Figured someone on here might appreciate it. I love this game so much. Thanks r/Sekiro for providing some community for me to post my accomplishments.

I did it. After ~6 hours over a few days. The Sword Saint is no more. What a fight! Definitely one I wont ever forget. FeelsGoodMan

Finally did it guys! Took me roughly one month. If I can do it, anyone can do it, don't give up farming those skill points!

    That first NG+ Feeling

    Posted: 24 Mar 2020 07:42 PM PDT

I recently finished off my first ever play-through of Sekiro, suprisingly having less trouble with Isshin than the Demon of Hatred, wow. Anyways, when I got to the Moonview Tower and continued on, it quickly became clear how far I had come. It was so satisfying to smash through the smaller enemies and bosses that had given me so much trouble when I had begun.

Did most of you have a similar experience?
