Whenever I am fighting a boss

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 05:14 PM PDT

F*** off with your DS bosses, Sekiro.

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 04:42 PM PDT

    Disclaimer: I am a HUGE DS/BB fan.

It took me a while to get used to this game, and after rage-quitting it shortly after release, I have come back to have another crack.

The level of challenge is a step up from Soulsverse, and a heavy diagonal step from BB. Zero builds, pure player skill required. Love it.

The interplay of stealth, action and high-tension swordplay is a sublime mix that provides a level of (hard-won) satisfaction I've never experienced before. Utterly fantastic.

So why, why, why the f*ck oh why, do I have to fight lumbering monsters that are clearly just ripped straight from the Soulsborne rejection pile?

Yes, I'm slightly salty after banging my head against Demon of Hatred for longer than I needed to. But seriously?? I'm a f*cking ninja shinobi, not a tanked up undead rocking a FUME GS.

Why design an utterly gorgeous swordplay system and then force me to fight a three-storey beast who makes that very system completely irrelevant?

I relished the challenge of Lady Butterfly, Genichiro and Owl Father. DoH, Great Ape, and to an extent, Corrupted Monk and the Ogres just served to detach me from the mechanics I'd really grown to love. If I wanted to strafe round the mangey legs of a boss that's too large to fit my screen, I'd be playing Soulsborne. GTFO.

TL;DR Parrying swords is awesome, giant monsters are completely unwanted here.

Can I Kill Owl Part 2 After Final Boss?

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 07:42 PM PDT

Just beat sekiro for the first time and I'm wondering if I can get to the second version of Hirata Estate to kill Owl after I already killed the final boss (if it matters I did side with kuro)

So i just got my ass handed to me by o'rin around 40-ish times decided that the game has been too difficult since i beat Genichiro, the fight with snake eyes shirahagi took almost 30 minutes to beat her. Decided to finally confront the memories to increase attack power because i thought that involved re-fighting the boss fights. Face palm!

Tl;dr i reached o'rin at attack level 1 while doing 10 pushups every time i died. F in the chat

PC player literally can not execute a proper side dodge

    Posted: 09 Jul 2020 09:05 PM PDT

I have been trying for 12 hours to beat Owl. I have watched guides and they all rely heavily on side dodging his attacks to open windows to attack him. I feel like side dodging is next to impossible on PC because you have to hold A or D and spam tap shift. Sometimes it activates and I side dodge but i don't go far enough so I still get hit. Sometimes I don't dodge at all and I get hit. I am literally playing this fight by parrying everything until he does his shuriken toss jump attack then hitting him with a sweeping blade once and running away. I have gotten all the way to him having like 10% hp in the second phase before I ran out of potions and died to poison. It took me literally 45 minutes only to die and start back in the dojo. I could see how on a controller I might be able to like diagonal side dodge behind him but for the life of me I cannot do it on a keyboard. Has anyone else run into this issue? any tips or macros that make this work properly? I have gotten to this point with relative ease but I'm so stuck on this guy.
