    finally beat guardian ape. had to tell someone and i have 0 friends. i did the fire cracker thing for the first half of the first phase, then just baited out the grab attack to finish it off. second phase i decided to be patient and wait for the attack where he runs forward and kinda does a little jump with a slice that you have to jump over. i couldn't time the parry to do the spear that is why. took a long time, but i still had my revive and 3 estus. if you're fighting him, and casul like me, then just do what i did for the second phase. took a lot of tries. wow i can't stop typing.

    For my first run I completed Mibu village first, senpou temple next then finished with sunken valley, and chose Shura ending. NG+ I started with Sempou temple then Mibu village then sunken valley, and completed severance ending. Ng++ I decided to do the sunken valley first then the sempou temple and finish with Mibu village because I felt that the game heavily hinted that this was the "correct" order. But damn are the stupid Nighjar phantoms dumb, added with the blue samurai phantom, makes this order the worst. My last Ng+++ I am going to do what I did during my first run because fuck phantoms. I never noticed phantoms during my first 2 playthroughs (except for the weak ones by the sunken valley headless) was I just blind?

    I am now realizing I missed a TON of stuff in the early zones. What should I do?

    I went back to the outskirts (still not very far in the game) and managed to find the spear prosthetic. Then I went to the wall and foudn a guy with a quest to kill rats (????) and got rewarded with a NEW skill set. This makes me think I missed a TON of stuff from my first going through the zones. What should I do? Go again? Explore in detail? This would take a while.

    Got the game back in May. Just beat Owl (Father) on the 3rd try. Now to Sword Saint!
