    I'm finally sinking my teeth in it. This isnt the first try, but its the one that matters because I broke down the wall.

    I will say, playing DS & DS3 heavily before this has caused my brain to constantly think DODGE. This game is not ok with that.

    Once I beat that Drunkard boss and make it to Lady Butterfly, I felt I had a good grasp on what the hell was expected of me. After multiple wipes, I got in the zone and took her out. And the damn bull. Who was remarkably easy once I figured out I could deflect despite how massive he was.

    Then Genichiro blew me out of the water. He punished EVERY misstep that I was making because of how predisposed I was to dark souls 3. Spent about an hour learning how he fought. I pushed health bars. One down... then I finally pushed through his second bar. I was so pumped. The fight felt so good, like I had beaten him with my skills.

    Then he goes to phase 2. I wasn't ready, or so I thought. I deflected EVERYTHING and proceeded to dodge his lightning strikes and even Mikiri Countering perfectly when he struck, my one glaring weakness on this fight so far.

    Then I broke his posture. I was so focused I didnt realize I was so close. Did my death blows. I couldn't believe it. After all of the difficulty of this game, I had beaten this asshole. And one shotted his last phase. That was last night, and I'm currently still elated that I could pull all this off.

    I can't wait to jump in again tonight. I'm streaming all of this game, and many others I have let slip by through the years. But this one... its something special. After defeating Genichiro, this game is easily in my top 5 right now.

    This game is so good, I'm sad I am just now enjoying it, and that I let it sit for so long. Big shout out to my cousin who bought this game for me to give it another try.

    Hell yeah, what a game. I'm so ready to go again.

    I really hope that Eldren Ring, the next FromSoft title is more in line with Sekiro than Dark Souls.

    Dark Souls is essentially a Combat Focused Action RPG, while in Sekiro RPG elements are removed focusing it entirely arround combat, so Sekiro is a Combat Driven Action Game!

    I really loved Sekiro, just love it, movement, gameplay and especially combat feel so amazing! I feel connected to the character just by virtue of the mobilty and combat. Dark Souls never had that feeling, never even came close. Plus how challenging and rewarding the combat is in this game, i think going back to DS formula would be a considerable step back for this game in terms of Combat and Mobility.

    This is my main complaint with this game, if I want to use my prosthetics on hard bosses then I'm going to be farming spirit emblems when I run out. It breaks my flow of learning on the bosses, and forces me to engage in a boring grind for 20-30 minutes until I have enough to start trying again.

    I hated it with blood vials in BB, and I hate it here.

    So I was on eBay looking for some cool Sekiro merch, and I see a seller who is asking 40 to 50 bucks to defeat a boss for you. Sorry It just seems like a waste of a great experience
