Posted: 10 Jun 2020 11:00 PM PDT I think Tomoe IS in the game and she's in it TWICE! Please forgive me and ignore if this idea has already been mooted but I haven't seen it anywhere. In vaati's video on the serpent and the dragon, he points out that the serpent and the dragon are often intertwined in mythology, perhaps representing halves of a whole that has been SPLIT; the dragon- the ethereal realm, (perhaps symbolising the mind) and the snake- reality and the land (perhaps symbolising the body). This is important to my theory. I think Tomoe is the crazy old lady who keeps popping up, asking you for rice, helping you AND she is the shrine maiden who sleeps on the rock where you access the fight with the eternal dragon. Her spent physical form is with us in Ashina, where she tries to help us fulfil the mission she never could (remember she and her lord did fail in their mission to sever immortality). Meanwhile, a remnant of her is trapped in fountainhead exactly at the crossing point of the divine realm and the real. Perhaps as a consequence of a failed battle with the dragon, her mind/spirit and body where severed and her spirit was trapped, immobile, at this nexus point whilst her ruined physical form returned once again to Ashina and aged. Just some questions about the black mortal blade, and why it doesn't KILL you. Posted: 10 Jun 2020 11:35 PM PDT Overall I really liked the concept that you are an undying shinobi (to explain why you can keep dying and continue playing) hell-bent on saving your master and later on helping him in his quest for immortal severence, but isn't the mortal blade (black or red) capable of killing those who are immortal? When we asked Isshin for a way to kill those who are immortal, he didn't say: "Oh the red mortal blade, the red is important haha dont get the black one". You might say oh he doesn't know about the black mortal blade, but when we eavesdrop him after showing him our mortal blade he hints that he (Genichiro) has the 'other' one. The point here is, if the black mortal blade doesn't kill immortals, the it sounds like information we need, right? And really namewise, in the Japanese voices, in the final fight before Sword Saint, Genichiro doenst say: "Behold, the BLACK mortal blade." Instead, he says: "look, a second mortal blade." Fuck it, before we meet Genichiro, he has already wounded our boy Kuro, a feat that is impossible without a mortal blade. (Explained by Emma, when we asked her) Granted, I am glad From software didnt think giving us only one chance to beat Sword Saint (like "tutorial" Genichiro), or hell, having us beat him without using resurrection was a great idea. Just a little thought I have about the game. [link] [comments]
For everyone who beat Sword Saint Isshin Posted: 10 Jun 2020 07:42 PM PDT You must have been excited. You must have been overjoyed. You conquered one of the hardest bosses in video game history. But please, take a humble moment to remember - He is probably the first and only Final boss to congratulate you for beating him and the game. Even after being bound by the Black Mortal blade he still retains his memory of you and is happy to see you surpass your limits. "Well done... Sekiro." [link] [comments]

A word of advice to you lonely players out there. Posted: 10 Jun 2020 08:06 PM PDT Find someone who loves you like Genichiro loves Ashina. [link] [comments]
Who else likes the idea of the next game being a prequel? Posted: 10 Jun 2020 11:03 PM PDT I thought about this from a few things within the games lore and what some major plot characters tell you. Tomoe is one of the characters I want to see more about, the people connected to Ishiin Ashina. I think with the black boxed item outside Ishiin's watch tower of course was there to legit just tell us info. It's been a while since I have played the game now. After doing everything 100% 17 times, I had to put it down for a bit. I think the next Game being a prequel could be a good idea where we see Ishiin a bit younger, Emma and Genichiro and younger and still young with some innocence. The Owl would probably be training, plotting and proiwith Lady Butterfly at the time. I think the whole idea of it is pretty cool but I understand that a normal sequel would be the ideal way as it needs to follow up the Sekiro (Wolf) story. Lol every time the dev's post about it, the comments are flooded with "DLC or new game." [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jun 2020 12:26 AM PDT So I got him to stage 2 way of tomoe in my 5th try and beat way of tomoe on my 3rd try, so it took me 8 times to finally take him down, I never played any soul games or any sword games before as I only play fps and this is my very first sword game, I also go in blind for every boss, and Genichiro is the first one that took me so many times, is this normal or am I below average? Anyway I really love this game [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Jun 2020 04:57 PM PDT So I started playing sekiro this week and got to demon of hatred, one of my friends told me that he's gonna give you nightmares, good luck! When I saw him in the battlefield I got goosebumps and kept remembering my friend's words, nonetheless I observed him when he was killing everyone, I took a couple of steps forward and the fight began. My other friend told me you can cheese him and knock him off, I refused since I wanted to experience that fight! since I'm a Dark Souls player, I kinda felt that this boss was from Bloodborne and Dark Souls games. Like he was supposed to be there. I got destroyed the first time, second fight was really hard and got him to his last phase and died. But the 3rd time was a remarkable fight, I got him and heard those words ( Thank you, Wolf ) I went back to upgrade my prosthetic arm, and no one was there, talked to the merchant and mentioned something about a flame, then went to an Old lady npc and after exhausting her dialogue I knew it. The demon of hatred is the same guy who kept looking after me. I felt sad really, but I gotta say I had the most fun against him, this game is a masterpiece. I'll upload the fight if anyone is interested. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Jun 2020 10:02 AM PDT I just defeated Genichiro and I thought there'd be a cutscene of Isshin kicking my ass or something afterwards and me having to acquire more power to come back later or some shit, and instead, Genichiro just ran away after I almost murdered him and now I'm chilling with Isshin drinking sake and talking about what a bitch he is. None of these guys really seem care about Kuro. Just Genichiro. Wierd story turn. [link] [comments]
