Posted: 28 Mar 2021 10:22 PM PDT So I just platinimed the game after playing for 3 days nonstop, and doing that has done a number on my brain. As I was watching anime a subtitle that popped up triggered my natural instinct to deflect. I now constantly hear the default fight music along with complimentary sword clashes play through my mind non-stop. God damned Kuro showed up in my dreams last night. Help me! [link] [comments]

My Top 10 Regular enemies in Sekiro Posted: 28 Mar 2021 07:19 PM PDT 10- Senpou Rats,These little midgets are somehow smaller than Sekiro, who is super small, and are super annoying!!! They have a grab, use poison, ranged attacks and the ones with hats need an axe I take care of them! The red ones are even worse!! The only reason they're here is because most other enemies are too weak to last a decent battle. 9- Fighting Monks,The monks don't need weapons to fight you, they literally block your sword with their hands... must I say more? They also punch and kick you to death. 8- Ashina Fencer,Fencers are pretty much Isshin's pupils and they give you a bit of a glimpse at what the master will use. They have a few quick attacks that'll break posture easily if you're right at posture break level and they have thrusts that are always a joy to counter, though facing more than one is always troubling. 7- Nightjar Ninja,The nightjar are a nice introduction to how many different types of enemies Sekiro can have. And by that I mean they introduce themselves by hurling a barrage of Shurikens at you and screaming while gliding at you. Can you believe they ask for your help at the end of the game? One even distracted you if you beat Genichiro on your first encounter just so you can lose your arm. Get revenge on them! The flaming ones are pretty cool too! And the suicide ones. 6- Hired Spear Monks,These guys only appear three times in the game, one in Ashina that you can eavesdrop on during the endgame and two with Owl in Hirata (revisited). They have a unique attack that Inner Isshin takes: you must jump a sweep then deflect while in the air and then Mikiri as soon as you land! Isshin may have made this attack known, but these guys used it first. Other than that they have odd attacks for spear users... THEY CAN SLAH YOU. You know, that thing that sword users do. Not spear users. 5- The White Monkey,The True Guardian ape. You will probably have more trouble fighting this enemy that only appears three or four times in OPTIONAL locations than Isshin himself. Why are these guys so troublesome!? They have attacks that are just so fast and hard to read and they never stop deflecting!!! I am convinced that Isshin got drunk off Monkey Booze one day and was like, "You'd know what would be hilarious? I'm gonna teach a friggin' monkey to use swords!!" 4- Okami Warriors,Okami would be higher if they didn't have two crippling weaknesses, their own lightning and poison. That being said, if you get into a 1v1 with one, it's just fun to fight them. My favorite is when they're all in an area just watching one practice and you can chose to fight them all or pick them off from the corners. 3- Red Guard Swordsman,You'll first encounter these guys on the revisit to Ashina castle and the Ashina guard's reaction to him is appropriate. They have slow and superfast attacks and are a great glimpse at what the endgame will have. Though I must say, I'm a fan of those two super quick slashes that could rival the Ashina Cross. 2- Dual Swords Red Guard,These are an end game enemy and while they're usually surrounded by other red guards, if you manage to get the toughest ones alone, you'll have a good fight. There's actually two versions of these guys that change their posture and I'm talking about the high posture guys. You'll find one guarding the area right before the Demon of Hatred and he is a bit of a challenge. They have a lot of style... but not as much as #1 1- Lone Shadows,Lone shadows are always fun to fight... unless you drew the attention of four of them... they combine flashy combos with thrusts and sweeps that just make it fun to fight them, especially if you copy them with high monk. Fun fact: all Shadows that don't have a gimmick like Vilehand, only use one hand to fight you. Don't say it wasn't a fair fight... [link] [comments]
