    Trying to understand posture system.

    I just started playing sekiro (having just finished BB and DLC and feeling likes it's too soon to jump back in on NG+ so here I am at sekiro to break it up a bit) and I'm having trouble understanding the posture system. So there is a posture meter that fills up as you attack them and deflect their attacks etc. And then when it's full does a red dot appear and you can do the death blow attack? Isn't that just the same as attacking an enemy in a game and draining their health to deliver a death blow when it's low enough? I don't understand it at all. Do you guys watch the postute meter and attack at certain times or do you just attack the enemy/boss until their dead like any other enemy in any other game? I understood visceral attacks in BB as it was clearly a tactic that involved timing for massive damage but this just feels like normal HP draining tactics until you kill the guy. Sorry if this was long winded as I can't even formulate my confusion well in a question. PS love the game and yes it's defitely harder than BB

    So, it's been an enjoyable slog so far, work my basics work the mechanics look for the cues learn the die .,........ learn oh nice die...................die.............cooool insta death.........and I love every second of it, it's not frustrating, it's super engaging, and the way I die is always because she delayed something I thought I had timed or something I've never seen in that way.. it's wicked cool, mods if this shit post is not allowed please forgive me.

    Should I worry too much about having the right amount of gourds?

    Hi, I'm currently in the process of fighting Gyobu, he's not incredibly hard, but I came here to ask if I should have more than enough gourds and actually utilize more often? I currently don't use them too much, as I don't see much of a point to it when enemies can just wipe off all the healing with one blow. Should I start to rely more on gourds?

    On your first playthrough, how long did it you to learn and defeat each boss?

    I think most of the bosses took me around 20-30 minutes to beat, with the exception of a few.

    Sword Saint Isshin took me the longest by far, at around 1 and a half hours.

    Genichiro, Guardian Ape, and both Owl Father bosses took me probably 40 minutes.
