    Been playing the new Star Wars game lately and fought the ninth sister. I shit my pants when I finally defeated her, but it looked like this was about to happen all over again.

    All of the bosses/minibosses have not been that hard before Genichiro. Chained Ogre was defeated first try. Gyobu Okinawa took a few tries to get down. Lady Butterfly was easier than Gyobu and died after my second try.

    Even the guy in the dojo right before Genichiro died in seconds, just deflecting his hits and getting that deathblow.

    But Genichiro. I've tried about ten times, gotten countless people Dragonrot. I usually get his first life down. Sometimes I get to his lightning phase. But still, I am dying, dying...

    Desperate, I looked up a cheese to him that involved jumping on the statues to get him stuck and stuff. Well, it must've been patched cause I tried pulling that off a few times with no avail.

    I am desperate to beat this guy. How did you guys beat him?

    For those of you who don't know, sekiro is a nominee for the game awards' game of the year, as well as best audio direction and other things. Yeah the whole thing is basically pointless and is more than likely rigged, but i personally would love it if this game actually got the recognition it deserves.

    Update: I FINALLY BEAT THE DEMON OF HATRED AND THE GAME ^^(Review/My Thoughts too)

    More then a month back I posted a post asking for help in phase 2 of the fight against the Demon of hatred(wanted to know if the flame attack was dodgeable) — when I asked I was honestly going to give up! But due to the support of everyone, here I kept at it . I I finally did it ! I beat him just moments go ..trying multiple times. After Beating him ..I have finished the game! I feel so happy right now!

    My Thoughts (MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS)

    I have never played an Fromsoftwear game(tho heard many good things about them).Sekiro want even on my games to get list, but when it came out it went in blind only knowing it was going to be a hard game. AND OMG ..I didn't know I would fall in love! I haven't played something so fun in years. I loved the combat, you knew where you went wrong and how to improve.

    I loved the exploration really much! No mini-map, no quest log .. no anything. Except just pure exploration, I didn't know I loved this!

    I also love the story l. But most memorably for me were all the fights agains the bosses and mini bosses being stuck for days and finally killing them !!

    Just want to say Thank you ..Fromsoftwear! And thank you everyone for the support ! You are amazing people !!

    And Did I tell you I FINALLY BEAT THR DEAMON OF HAAATTTEEERRREEEDDD

    and HOLY SHIT this is so fun

    Im like 16 hours in and I'm loving it. It feels like the Celeste of the Hack 'n Slash genre.

    I feel like I've been turned away from these games because of the daunting nature of how they're represented online, but Im glad I picked it up, it is so fun and rewarding.

    I gotta say though, the hardest fights for me so far was Lady Butterfly (took me just under 3h lmao) and that one Shotgun-Scythe mini-boss with all the gun ppl on the cliffside, but both felt really rewarding to figure out and do myself

    Im on my path of getting gud, and I feel like more people should try these games out! People make it seem scary to pick up almost

    All other things being equal, do you think a playthrough with Demon Bell on is harder, or a playthrough without Kuro's charm?

    So I've had this game for awhile and played it on and off throughout the months because of how frustrating it can get. I'm still somewhat in the beginning and was hoping to get some advice to help me get better at the game so instead of dropping it for who knows how long, I can finally beat it.

    So, I'm at the verge of rage quitting. Haven't experienced this in years. I enjoy the game a lot but what is really ruining it for me is Genchiro. Not Bc he's hard but Bc he's super cheap. Also, half the time mikiri counter doesn't even work. And I'm staying in a neutral position. I just want to progress in the game already.

    hi! I've been digging this game so far. I've not played anything like this before so it has been a pretty steep learning curve.

    I'm at the bamboo thicket in Hirata Estate, and I cannot figure out how to get up the slope without using all my healing. There are just too many archers. I kind of feel dumb for not being able to figure this out.

    I've made it through them a couple times but the big guy on the bridge has another archer behind him - I tried baiting the big guy but he stomps the crap out of me. Is there a method or something for dealing with so many archers? I can't block everything.

    Is there any way to make the red kanji things bigger (I'm on PC) they are so small I cant tell the difference between the sweep or thrust attack, and it takes me forever to get to the mini bosses who use those attacks, so I can't exactly "practice" on the mini bosses - and Hanbei is way easier to predict attacks than the mini bosses so even though I practice with Hanbei a lot its just not clicking for me.

    I feel a bit daft. I've spent 12 hours on this game and I dont feel like I'm getting any better or maybe I'm missing something.
