    PRECIOUS BAIT

    Posted: 01 May 2020 09:26 AM PDT

Just thought I’d make a quick post while this agonizingly long download finishes. I bought Demons Souls in 2009, and had to sell my PS4 a couple years ago to pay rent but I’m finally about to start Froms latest masterpiece and i couldn’t be more excited

Well... it’s taken me 4 hour, but I’ve beaten the second boss in this game ‍♀️

This came up randomly on Google images, is sekiro's wedding cave inspired by this? And if so, what's the story behind it?

Floating passage as a way to avoid sweeping attacks

    Posted: 01 May 2020 11:41 PM PDT

I noticed this during the final boss fight, but this will probably work on any enemy doing a sweep attack.

The third and fourth hits during floating passage happen after Sekiro has jumped a little in the air. So if you time it right, that jump happens just when the sweep attack passes under you.

This allows you to both avoid the attack and also keep the combo going.

I managed to do this twice(against the final boss) but sadly have not yet recorded it. Will try again and update if successful. Similar to what I am talking about

    purple ninja and the loneshadow

    Posted: 01 May 2020 11:11 PM PDT

is it me or they are just the same guy? because for me, in the battle loneshadow was just the purple ninja but in a boss way with 2 deathblows. they have the same attacks, moves, patterns, even the skin. was it my game?

    Sekiro is a zen experience

    Posted: 01 May 2020 06:35 PM PDT

Just beat Isshin and I've never felt this relaxed playing the final bosses of Bloodborne or Hollow Knight. With those I'd find myself at times frustrated, running in circles and just going through the motions, maybe cheesing just to move on to the ending.

    'Hesitation is defeat'

Everytime you stall and die, you're reminded of that mistake. You cannot overthink. You cannot hesitate. You have to push forward until you break his posture. Everything you've learned you have to put in motion.

And when you finally do, it's one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have in a videogame.

Sekiro is a sword duel dance I'll never want to end.

Hey yall I'm stuck on the shura ending. I've tried maybe 25-30 times now. I'm starting to regret picking the shura ending but no turning back now. Any tips?

    Since I'm Genichiro's Punching Bag

    Posted: 02 May 2020 12:07 AM PDT

Hopefully this hasn't been asked before (or at least recently). Genichiro Ashina has been whipping my ass, I rise from the dead, and then he beats me like a mule (rented or otherwise) again. I've dropped him to one health bar a couple of times now and it annoys the hell out of me to use so many healing items in his first phase. Because frankly I don't have the skill or reflexes to master this game, just enough to eventually get my head through the next wall I beat it against.

With that bit of background out of the way, here's the question - if I die to Genichiro "Way of Tomoe" afterward, do I have to go the whole way back to the beginning of the entire Genichiro fight to kill two health blips of Genichiro Ashina and to fight his Thor impersonation?

I'm also open to advice that isn't just get better and deflect faster.

With what stats are you supposed to beat Isshin the Sword Saint in NG?

    Posted: 01 May 2020 11:54 PM PDT

I currently have 11 Attack Power and 18 Vitality. From my knowledge there aren't any bosses left, though I might be wrong (haven't gotten the 2nd Memory of Hirata Estate, how are you supposed to get that?). There might still be some Prayer Beads I haven't found, so let's say I can get my vitality to 19. Are these stats enough?

My one and only gripe with the game

    Posted: 01 May 2020 07:42 PM PDT

Like, you find an item on the ground, like any old souls game, but then as opposed to a simple quick pop up the entire game stops and the item menu takes up the whole screen, kinda like:

"STOP WAT UR DOING U JUST PICKED UP UR 105th CERAMIC SHARD!"

Like for key story items sure, but for basic stuff like shards and purses? Quite irritating.
