Managed to beat 3 bosses today! I'm so happy!

Hey all, newcomer to Sekiro but not FromSoftware games in general here!

I've been trying for days to kill Lady Butterfly. She is my first boss and after many trials and errors, I managed to end her existence with Fang. It was rough and tough but through sheer inexplicable reason I went on ramming my head against the wall, deflecting and attacking her!

Next up was Gyoubu the Demon, who I found surprisingly easy. Yes, I died a couple of times but I managed to give him a hefty amount of damage each time I hit him. He was more of a nuisance but I enjoyed fighting with him.

And last was the Blazing Bull! Now this guy gave me more trouble than Gyoubu. I managed to grind a little to improve my prosthetic arm and loaded shuriken. I usually tried to stay away from him and slice down his health with shuriken, then go end him. Apparently, the difference between defeat and success is a single shuriken and good timing. lul

So yeah, I'm very excited to continue playing and eventually finish the game!

    I think I've become Shura

    Posted: 06 May 2020 11:35 AM PDT

I've just earned my 100% achievement for this game, my last ending was the Shura one, but I just noticed as I played through each time after my initial, I became more and more 'Shura'.

What I mean by that is in my first playthrough I was fresh from the other SoulsBorne games, so I was pretty cautious going through areas, and dodged where I definitely shouldn't have dodged. I hesitated a lot basically, and we all know what that means.

But fast forward to my last time through, and I was running through areas with abandon, obliterating everything and everyone in my path. And I enjoyed it immensely, there's no such satisfaction as melting a boss or miniboss that gave you insane trouble your first time around.

So from what I gathered about it from the lore, my attitude towards the game basically became Shura along with Sekiro, I became bloodthirsty and relentless, and loved every second.

Having already got the 100% for DS1, 2, 3 and BB, my only options now are to either get hold of a PS3 so I can try Demon Souls, or I can sit and make sculptures til Elden Ring comes along.

Just wanted to say that, as with all Miyazaki's games, I've had an absolute blast weaving my way through this masterpiece, and I'll definitely be back. Maybe it's time for some challenge runs, who knows...
