Questions about Post Game Prayer Beads and Items

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:49 PM PDT

Just beat the final boss and haven't yet talked to Kuro.

I don't have all the prayer beads yet and was wondering if it was required to find them individually, so I might as well find them this playthrough, or if I could get them by beating the same old minibosses, e.g. headless, chained ogre, etc.

As far as Lapiz go are there more in subsequent playthroughs or am I missing some? I only have 6 right now.

    Thanks!

Final Thoughts on Isshin Sword Saint

    Posted: 16 Jun 2020 10:46 PM PDT

Just beat him and honestly have to say that I didn't find him too hard. Part of what I think makes difficulty so apparent in souls is the ability to take on a boss after you master the mechanics. Isshin definitely took me a while and about 55 deaths to learn his mechanics, but after that, I beat the fight only getting hit once by his lightning, and using no emblems or prosthetic, combat arts, etc. This comes off as cocky, but all I mean to say by it is once you learn his mechanics, the fight is mechanically very simple, and compared to Gael, or the Orphan, or Artorias, this fight is very predictable.

I think part of what contributes to the difficulty is the fact that there are for all intents and purposes, 4 separate stages, which you have to learn, and understand the mechanics for. Once you understand the mechanics though, they're very easy replicate, with no real future issues. With chip damage, that's definitely a different story, but just vanilla Isshin, I don't think he's comparable in difficulty to the other final bosses on the list.

I think Owl father is by FAR the hardest boss in this game!

Reminded me of Ashina Castle, especially with the topmost balcony

Second boss today. Honestly, not as hard as I thought. I died twice to him, then used the Ako sugar and divine confetti and beat him instantly. So third time is the charm I guess?

Who else went in blind, thought that confronting a boss memory would be a rematch and kept it later?

I felt pretty stupid after gathering my strength and bravery to refight Gyobu, after progressing through Ashina Castle, only to see I was sitting on attack power all along
