    Amazing attention to detail

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 07:27 PM PDT

In Kuro's Room you might've noticed this shrine placed behind a piece of armor.

In Fountainhead Palace there is this room which houses the exact same shrines, but the coolest part is that there is actually a missing shrine on the opposite side of the room which is very likely brought to Ashina by Lord Takeru & Lady Tomoe who were both Okami from Fountainhead Palace.

Now, I don't know what's in the shrine, I just love this insane attention to detail which FromSoft has.

Anybody else get the dried serpent viscera with mist raven?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 08:05 PM PDT

I just found out you were supposed to use the puppeteer on the monkey to get it but I got it by going though the snake with Mist Raven instead!

I think I found a progress halting exploit

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 07:17 PM PDT

I'm was playing normally through the game and i reached fountainhead palace. From there I didn't light the sculptors idol and I died to the corrupted monk. When I died this triggered the game interaction where you go back to the sculptor to see he got sick because I hadn't died fully triggering this scene earlier in the game. I believe that i am now stuck out of fountainhead because the carriage thing at the wedding door is broken so i cant pray in it and i cannot warp to fountainhead.

    True monk tidbit.

So I just killed Yao (true monk), and I realised that in the third phase, she vomits the precious bait or slugs of some kind. She vomits a more green form of precious bait, but not as green as truly precious bait.

    Question about some prosthetic tools

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 12:50 AM PDT

Umbrella: So is the magnet version better than the other 2 upgrades for tanking hits judging from the description or is it the same as those 2 but better than the base one.

Sabimaru: Does the Lazulite one pierces enemies through their guard like the piercing one?

    Thanks.

It would be cool if this game had add-ons added that explored the aftermath of the endings.

    Posted: 24 Jun 2020 12:38 AM PDT

After completing this game and attaining the four different endings, I felt some of the endings left some to be desired. In particular, there was more to the Shura ending that could've been added instead of just the dialogue describing the aftermath. There could have been a scene following path of destruction with a slaughtered Kuro, a trail of blood, dead bodies and flames and ultimately zooming up to a Shura Sekiro standing in front of it all with the ever so slight evil smile on his face (similar to the one after Emma's deathblow).

There could be a DLC for the Dragon's Homecoming ending, where you can play as Sekiro journeying with the Divine Child to the West, facing against unique bosses different from those you encounter near Ashina and learning more lore about the West from the Divine Child (i.e. how the Dragon's Heritage came of from the West).

Just some ideas that I thought of, what are your thoughts? 😅 I also thought of how it would be cool if we could explore the next shinobi that comes to Sekiro to gain power. But I think that would result in gameplay being repetitive since at the end, Emma mentions how another shinobi will come seeking power and she presents the prosthetic tool.

Side note: another thing that would be neat is if the game had an in-game feature that counts the number of attempts needed for each boss (including mini-bosses) just for fun!

Thanks for reading guys. This was a long one 😆

10 tip for first time players getting frustrated, from someone who started a Dark Souls newbie and ended up platinuming the game.

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 07:58 AM PDT

    1) It's going to suck for a while, the game demands a certain play-style and "getting" it takes time

    2) Learn to parry early. Basic soldiers telegraph their attacks so use that to get some timing down and get the "feel" of parry timing

    3) Almost all mini-bosses can have their health halved if you are patient and use stealth

    4) Dragonrot doesn't affect the main plot and there is a way to cure it a finite amount of times

    5) Mikiri Counter is the most important first skill

    6) Sake is "lore juice" it's great for understanding the history of the game but it isn't key to the main plot

    7) Every boss has a shinobi tool weakness. Finding it and adapting your fight style will help you massively

    8) Block to learn attack patterns then increase your confidence for parrying

    9) Stay aggressive. Dodging to find a window will end up with you dead, defending only will lengthen fights

    10) If you're struggling with a boss/area, ask this reddit. Everyone is willing to help.

    Good luck Shinobis!
