    A True Story

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 10:32 AM PDT

I hope this hasn't been already cross posted but I felt like all of us needed to see this

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 09:13 PM PDT

Ah shit here we go again

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 12:09 PM PDT

Why can’t you just stay over my shoulder?

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 11:21 PM PDT

GOT GUD last night. Also, yes, you can dodge Perilous Sweep with Nightjar Slash. Expecting them to not fight like damn animals in phase 2... Not the brightest idea, but the result was worth it.

Hesitation means death. Apparently so does getting greedy

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 02:54 PM PDT

So I did a run to see what happens when your first death is against certain boss...

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 09:09 PM PDT

So I just did a run where I intentionally died agains Demon of Hatred to see what would happend, given that the sculpor is not in the Dilapated Temple.

Absolutelly nothing. I just appeared in my last commuted idol.

But, I did learn that I love this game. I have completed all DS games to 100%, and I just stop playing them because I just dont find them entretaining or because the lack of things to do. But this is the first time that I long for more after getting 100% of the game, and with the new update coming in october, maybe this is my new favourite FromSoft game.

Well thats all, thank you for your time.

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 08:42 PM PDT

So far sekiro has not given me any boss walls(except the great shinobi owl ) but i seem that I cannot figure out how to deal with the demon of hatred. I just dont get that dude. I have 14 attack power 17 hp. I have lots of divine confetti yet i cant get past his chaotic attacks. Can anyone give me some tips.

    Just shit all over Genichiro

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 01:53 PM PDT

After being stuck on him for what has easily been a week, I have proceeded to take out my ass and take a massive shit on him. I went ultra instinct and didn't have to heal throughout the whole fight and am sure i'm going to get a complaint from my neighbors, but hey it was worth it!

This level of satisfaction should be illegal

WHAT. A. GAME! - Thank you to r/Sekiro

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 09:35 AM PDT

I just finished the last boss and am completely in awe of the feeling of satisfaction I have from completing the game.

In fact, it's compelled me to create a reddit account for the first time to share my thoughts but also to thank you folks as a community:

I only got back into gaming in the past couple years – I'd been a very casual gamer when I was younger and only recently purchased a ps4 out of excitement for RDR2 and God of War. I've never played a 'souls-esque' game before so I was pretty nervous about the difficulty level at the start.

Coming to this reddit and reading the posts kept me going through difficult parts of the game - I know you get some grief for the 'git gud' meme, but honestly every boss post had large amounts of positive encouragement. More than anything, I appreciated the encouragement not to 'cheese' the bosses, which was at times tempting.

I'll probably post some more of my takeaways at a later date, but mainly just wanted to celebrate and thank you folks.

    Cheers!

And after 10 ng cycles I finally did it! Now we wait for October!

Just started the game and fought the first miniboss general

    Posted: 05 Aug 2020 12:02 AM PDT

Beat him in 3 tries without aerial killing his first health bar.

The only souls like game I played before is Jedi Fallen Order btw. I haven't ever touched a Dark Souls game before.

Found someone selling this scroll for $2 locally. Does anyone have something similar? I can't find this online.

Does this game have a shit ton of side quests?

    Posted: 04 Aug 2020 10:49 PM PDT

I haven't played dark souls or whatever that other popular open world game is that is most popular so I can only compare to games like metal gear solid 5 , days gone, or dying light... But all of those games were too open world for me and had way too many side quests. I never finished any of them and Im a maaaasive MGS fan so that says a lot.

I really like games about samurai ( looking at you ninja gaiden 🖤) and I wanna check sekiro out but I really get tired of endless side quests in games and you usually miss out on good equipment or whatever when you try to just do story missions which can make the final bosses much tougher as you know. Also you just don't experience the game the way it's supposed to be experienced that way. Im ok with a SOME side quests but too many and I get bored fast. So how sekiro hold up in this regard?

    Thanks for reading!
