In Lore, End Game Wolf is a Scary mf

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 09:41 PM PST

Things like spirit emblems and respawning are mostly game mechanics, so he's able to use most tools at will. (Say for something like the flamevent or shuriken because you'll need fuel and ammo for both). He also can use any combat art at will as he's not limited to menus as we are. Things like the healing gourd will be constantly regenerating its healing waters as resting at scultpors idols to replenish them is purely a game mechanic thing too. Since he's immortal, getting stabbed through the chest is purely an inconveinience. And since he's in the end game, he has all of the combat and stealth based latent skills as well, and on top of all that, has killed some of the most power beings in Ashina, such as Owl, Isshin, the Demon of Hatred, Divine Dragon, etc. In conclusion, end game Wolf is a scary mf.

How it feels after getting all of the Lazulite Prosthetics

Finally got Platinum a few days ago!

    A little tip!

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 07:50 PM PST

    For new players,

Everytime you're about to enter a boss batltle. Use up or preserve all you sen, either through upgrades or coin purses. Use your skill points to a solid whole number. Now, just go into the battle and have a feel for it. Don't even try to win or anything. Just deflect. Don't use any prosthetics or attacks. Just deflect. You'll notice how easy the fight seems after just 5-10 minutes of straight deflecting. This game is too beautiful to get mad at.

I am so close to giving up.

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 03:57 PM PST

I've been playing this game for months, put well over 120 hours on my save. I'm in NG+2 and trying to get the platinum, I've already gotten the return and Shura endings, and beat Owl (Father) in my first playthrough, but now I want to go for the purification ending before he gets any harder, and I can't beat him this time. I've been trying for WEEKS, and I can still barely make it to his second phase in ng+2. I'm honestly thinking of just grabbing the other ending, then starting a new save to get purification on NG. I've struggled a small amount with other bosses on this playthrough, but nothing close to this. No matter how much I study him I can't beat him, I must've tried hundreds of times by now, and I've seen and tried just about every tip and strategy that's online. Idk if I came here to ask for help or just to vent but I'm just really frustrated, that's all.

TL/DR: This boss is better at the game than me lmao

The Combat is just too good

    Posted: 12 Feb 2021 09:31 AM PST

So I restarted my gaming journey in life after a huge gap. I completed the original Legend of Zelda on NES when I was 12. After that I never really played more than a casual hour or two for like 3 decades. A few years back I got into the show westworlds first couple of seasons. This got me interested in gaming when I saw the trailer for RDR2. I grabbed an XBOX one X, a copy of RDR2 and saw this other game that looked like a Ninja thing so I grabbed that too. After playing a couple dusty days as a Cowboy I thought it was time to test my Ninja skills and popped Sekiro in the disc drive. Now since I had little to no experience with combat games at this point I thought a lot of the difficulty I was having was due to my lack of experience. It was frustrating but I fought and fought until I reached that red eyed bastard at the top of the stairs. Then I fought and fought some more. After way too long of a time I finally looked up some tips on this asshole. That's when I found out the game I was playing was probably not for the Noob I was. I honestly thought about giving up until my nephew reminded me I told him I would finish this game. You see everytime he hits a wall he quits and After years of watching him do this I felt I had to prove a point to him. Why I didn't tell him this about RDR2 I don't know but my journey to beat this game had begun. I didn't think I'd unlock all achievements. At first it almost felt like a chore. In the beginning my lack of creativity and my lack of confidence in my parry skills forced me to run around in circles around the bosses. How I finally beat Lady Butterfly that first run is beyond me. I fought her straight through the night, went to work and came home and it still took another 4 hours. I felt exhausted and broken. It was just about here though that my mind was made up and I wasn't going to run anymore. I started really finding success when I was using parry against those feathered rooftop enemies that that toss and attack with spinning blades. I noticed how much the posture bar really mattered. I still fought and fought while dying over and over but I could see myself getting better. I threw a shuriken here and there. I unlocked Ichimongi and learned that a combo with the firecrackers was devastating and awesome to watch. I found the mist raven prosthetic and I don't think it's left the tool bar since. Zipping through Seven Spears, lighting him on fire and then following up with(insert combat art here) became more fun everytime we'd bump into each other. When I finally made it to Genichiro that first time I did hit a wall but after a couple hours I went to bed. I Came home from work to put the work in on that Grabby asshole. It didn't feel like a chore anymore. I was finished with him after my third attempt of getting to his third phase. Sending that lightning back at him made me feel God like. Every challenge after that was something to look forward too. Except Snake Eyes, they can both rot with the Headless as far as I'm concerned. So now that I've put hundreds of hours into this game. Mastered the combat to the point I'm happy with my gameplay. I'm stuck I'm limbo. Since this was my first combat gaming experience in years and this was a newer title there's not much out there that can provide this experience. I've tried and beaten Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. I've made it through a playthrough of Dark Souls 3 and have become the Ghost of Tsushima. These were all fantastic games but I long for a new experience with the Wolf. Locked or Unlocked the combat just feels smooth as silk. I'm still finding possibilities for exciting combos. I cannot find any other game that has moments as satisfying as Goomba stomping Emma into the Sakura Dance and then landing to attack her with the alternating poison blade until she's done for. I feel bad everytime that katana pierces through her throat but hot dam is it satisfying. If you've made it this far do me a favor and give a a suggestion or two to try out. It Doesn't have to be combat oriented. As long as it seems challenging, your creativity is rewarded and it's not an Assasins Creed game I'm interested. I've tried Origins and Valhalla. I just get bored out of my mind with those games. Maybe it's me. Anyway, Hesitation is defeat my fellow Shinobi. Let me know some suggestions or let me know why and what you love about grappling around Ashina. I'm always looking for another reason to load it up. I actually just bought it on PS5. I had this delusion of getting the platinum without dying since I had made it to Demon of Hatred without dying. I was destroying the game on that first playthrough. My confidence got the better of me and the firey sculptor finally put me in my place. I needed that dam whistle. Apparently I'm not a good as I think I am. I can't believe I even thought I could possibly pull that off. Hahaha. Thanks for reading.

Reached 34/34! Thank you all here, you have been a great help along this journey. As you see, I needed my time. I did four runs, ended with Shura.
