- Cleared NG+7! Took me a hundred hours but the journey's worth it! I'm thinking of stopping here and picking up another FromSoft game. I already played a bit of DS3 but kept on rage-quitting because I couldn't beat the samurai guy. I'm gonna miss the deflect/parry mechanic on Sekiro so much.
- Platinum finally!! Sorry if this is old hat by now, but finally got the Plat after 170 hours. The most satisfying platinum I've had. What a game.

The framerate for Sekiro has suddenly slowed a lot. Posted: 22 Mar 2021 09:17 PM PDT I don't know why, but the framerate has suddenly slowed down a good amount. It's almost unplayable, where I can deflect some of the slower attacks but don't really get a chance on others. i don't really know what I did differently. I had just gotten the purification ending, closed the game, and next time I turned it on it was slowed a pretty good amount, but I don't think they're necessarily related. I looked for some fixes, but already had switched it to high performance nvidia processor, and don't have a second monitor, so I couldn't really find any fixes before. It's worked fine before, although occasionally it would slow down for a few seconds. Also, it didn't show up on video, which is sort of strange. I don't know if this is just an issue for PC [link] [comments]

Just started the game and have a couple questions Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:39 PM PDT I'm a Souls veteran and decided to finally get Sekiro for its anniversary as a masochist but there's some things that I don't really understand yet. 1) Should I move my attack/parry controls to the triggers? I'm playing on Xbox and the bumpers just feel too cheap to reliably have perfect timing with but I think if I move the buttons to trigger it would slow the actions. 2) How do tool upgrades work? I've found upgrades that I can buy for them and obviously you can unlock them with the sculptor. I'm assuming this means you can swap upgrades out somehow? [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:04 PM PDT Just put Johnny way of tomorrow in his place in the gauntlet of strength and got sakura dance. I've heard it's good to use with prosthetics. Which prosthetic combos are best with sakura dance? [link] [comments]

This game is so intense and stressful Posted: 22 Mar 2021 03:57 AM PDT God dammit. I completed Dark Souls Remastered about a month ago (had a blast) and have been playing Sekiro ever since. A lot of remarkable things about this game but the one that really stands out for me is the intensity. So much of my playtime I'm sat right on the edge of the sofa, leaning forward, gripping the controller. The adrenaline and heartrate is insane. I've beaten Butterfly and Gyoubu Oniwa, been battling Genichiro for my past couple of sessions, and this is the most intense yet. Practically bouncing out of my seat on a lot of these attempts. I've discovered he doesn't like to be pressured, and it's with intense attacking, deflecting and Mikiri counters that I've managed to get the first deathblow a few times. But he's really good at dodging to make space and reset himself, he has a variety of combos that I don't manage to pick consistently, and every now and then he seems to get the ability to convert his bow into a machine gun which is kind of ridiculous. There's just no settling in this fight. Kind of loving and hating it at once. [link] [comments]
How the hell do you train against bosses like headless and shichimen Posted: 22 Mar 2021 04:10 PM PDT I'm approaching the end of the game on my first play through and I defeated every boss and semi boss on the way. Granted had to try dozens of times for some but every time I tried I learned something new about their patterns. So for example once I killed the Guardian Ape, and had to face the Headless Ape later I had no issues. Same for the Corrupted Monk once I got to the Fountainhead. But man, those mini bosses like the Headless or the Shichimen are total bullshit. Are those like the hardest enemies on the game or something? I can't improve anything when fighting them and so I had to read online and see what's going on. Found out you have to use items. I never used any items even for any boss before. And worst of all apparently you need to use divine confetti which I have like 10 of and is so hard to get from the ashiina castle enemies. How am I supposed to learn how to kill them on the first place? To do any damage apparently I need the confetti but even if you defend their attacks they take a lot of your HP, so you die before you're able to do anything. So it's not like I can experiment much like I did with other bosses. Also did any casual like me learn how to kill those things without reading online? I got hints from the game on how to defend the lightning attacks from Genichiro like 2 or 3 times, which also applies to the enemies in Fountainhead. But couldn't catch anything about those other ones... [link] [comments]
Cant start another play through. Posted: 22 Mar 2021 09:05 PM PDT The game will not allow me to begin another play through for some reason, I got the shura ending and now I'm just kinda going around killing all the mini-bosses I skipped because I can't start a new playthrough. PS4 btw, anybody else have this issue? [link] [comments] |
