First Fromsoft game I've ever got 100% on, and probably the most fun I've ever had on a game.

Told yall I'd get this giant badass!!! I don't think he's even close to as difficult as sword saint ishinn...haven't even come close to defeating him yet...but I can feel the response to his moves becoming faster...and I'm finally finding moments inbetween his combos to hit him.gets greater later!

I love this game and love how unfair it is

Sekiro is ages ahead when compared Ds3 and bloodborne. First time ever I shouted in my living room "unfair" while fighting owl father in hirata estate. He trapped me against the wall and one shot me. But defeating him was soo satisfying and man I love this game.

    1st playthrough...tips?

    Posted: 13 Jun 2021 06:20 AM PDT

Hey guys..so heres my souls CV

    Code Vein DS3

Thats all lol..so I got sekiro, got past the bull (im in ashina reservoir)..and that next area with 2 mini bosses (hear me out wait) the one with the spear on top of the tower or if I go the other way around its the lone wolf (yeah even with 1 health bar) are fking the shit out of me so im kinda stuck..

I did not have the hardest time until now and the thing is, i dont mind dieing constantly but killing everyone again to get to the miniboss and die and repeat is getting old and frustrating.

For the skills I have mikiri and the 2 passives that supress sound, have lvl 4 gurou and kinda like the firecrackers lvl 2 now.

What should I do in this 1st play? Am i going the right direction or should take the bridge to somewhere else? What do you guys do in similar cases? Kill everything again or just skip? Should i farm money and skills at this point?

    Thanks!

    Another noobie having woes

Wanting advice, bear with me haha

So I really enjoy the depth of the combat in this game - feels really fun. But I have some concerns after coming across one miniboss (shinobi Hunter - who I eventually beat after 2 days of trying and finally getting the mikiri counter down) and the first proper boss (butterfly lady) Fighting seems off in one or two regards from what I'm used to in games. Sekiro seems to have some form of rhythm to the combat, which I like, but the margin for error is so small, and the fights are brutally long, that it's becoming a bit of a slog. My reflexes is games aren't insanely quick - I can beat Doom Eternal on Ultra Violence comfortably but nightmare requires insanely good reflexes which I do not possess. Dark Souls (3) was fast(ish) but the margin for error was much larger, and fights could be over really really fast. So this is where I'm wanting some advice: I know how to beat lady butterfly - I've gotten her posture and health down very very low, but it took about fifteen minutes - then one sweep attack and my slightly too slow reflex and I was dead. Feels like a playing a challenge run… So I think I'm doing something wrong. Should fights be taking this long? Should I be dying in two hits? Should I be deflecting, step dodging, or attacking as a priority? I feel I know the mechanics okay ish - but using the effectively is another matter.

Instead of going into NG+9 I decided to start a completley fresh playthrough. The problem is I have two esoteric texts and have already faced Genichiro and for some reason the game will not let me acquire skills. I've exhausted Dialogue with Emma, Kuro, The Sculptor, even Hanbei. Absolutely nothing.
