Sooooo what should I play next?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 06:12 PM PDT

The moment I never thought would come has arrived. I beat Sekiro. Hardest game Ive ever played. Achieved all 4 endings. Got 31 of the 34 trophies in 2 play throughs (not interested in getting platinum). What a masterpiece of a game.

As my first Fromsoft game, I initially absolutely hated the difficulty of it. Whenever I'd see posts calling this game a "masterpiece", I'd roll my eyes cuz I never really understood it. I was never the type of gamer who wanted to be challenged. I love somewhat mindless & very slightly difficult games. But after Sekiro, I'm struggling to go back to those roots. I popped in another game into my PS5 and tried playing it but I just had no enthusiasm for it. I ended up putting Sekiro back in and doing Gauntlets of Strength.

I'm not sure what it is about Sekiro that has captured me. I don't think it's the difficulty cuz it was sooo stressful. So many moments of endless cursing lol. Or maybe the difficulty is actually what I like. I really don't know. Anyway, I'm open to suggestions on what to play next. I'm REALLY tempted to get the Demon's Souls PS5 remake but I'm very nervous to do that. All I hear on this sub and everywhere is how hard the Souls games are and I just don't think I can handle them. But also, maybe that's what I need. Im also considering getting Returnal. Open to hear what you all think!

    Moving Forward

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 04:24 PM PDT

Five days later and Genichiro went down. What a feeling. The frustration was starting to get to me and I thought I would have to put the game down for awhile. Earlier in the day I got my vaccine shot and went home to game for a bit. Meaning try Genichiro. 45 minutes later I turned it off in the middle of a match. I didn't want to use the revive, I needed a break. Later, after my daughter went to bed I started it up and forgot I was midmatch. Decided to give it a go. Got to the third phase and actually redirected his lightning. Also did a stomp to the head. And then he was done. What a challenge. Gascoigne wasn't this bad. Gundyr was rough, but not like this. I soaked up all the cutscenes and have no idea what is coming up and am so excited.

I wonder where Kuro and Sekiro trying to go.

    Return ending or Purification ending?

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 10:34 PM PDT

I got both visceral items from serpents but I've heard the return ending is the "true" ending, but Purification ending gives all the bosses. Which should I go with? I won't be doing another playthrough at least for a little while.

Just beat Sekiro and its in my top 3 favourite games of all time

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 09:50 AM PDT

I just beat Isshin Ashina with 5 attempts and I have no clue how. This game has easily my favourite gameplay ever. The deflect system was a very brave yet genius idea from From Software. The bosses in this game are next level. My personal favourite is either Isshin or Owl because of his tactics that really make the fight interesting (as well as showing us how it feels to get hit by the firecrackers). I got the immortal severence ending as I didn't look up any guides and went in blind. This is easily my favourite from game and definitely in my top 3 favourite games ever as well as Withcer 3 and Rdr2.

If we were to get a Sekiro 2

    Posted: 20 Jul 2021 06:30 PM PDT

It's been the first anniversary since my platinum of Sekiro so I began to think. Where would you want the setting to be? For me, I'd love to see it Korea or China delving deeper into the Divine dragon maybe
