I beat the Demon of Hatred but I was too drunk to remember how

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 10:11 AM PDT

I beat the Demon of Hatred the other night a few hours after attempting him for the first time. I was drinking as I played, so three hours later, I was pretty drunk. Somehow, I beat him. But I can barely remember phase three. All I remember about it was running so I could stay outside his ring of fire.

I'm glad you can replay bosses any time in the Reflections. Time to go back and re-learn the fight sober

After being stuck on Sword Saint for over a year, I've finally beaten him and earned the best ending in the game.

Sekiro on PS5 - Best Free Upgrade By Far

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 08:16 PM PDT

Everyone knows that Sekiro runs in a solid 60 fps on PS5 and even Series X.

All articles that mention the upgraded next gen Sekiro always mention the 60fps upgrade and how much smoother it runs. Especially for how fast paced and how it relies on quick parries.

What is not mentioned very often at all though is the improved picture quality.

I think it runs 1800p checkerboard on PS5 and 1800p native on Series X.

But even regarding the 1800p checkerboard on PS5, you can't even tell its checkerboard. The game truly looks like it running in 4k 2160p at 60 fps.

For example, i got close to my TV, very very close, and i see like 1 black pixel surrounded by 8 pixels outputting a different color light. So it looks like real 4k.

Other games with Checkerboard, like God of War 4k 60fps checkerboard, you can tell God of War is running in checkerboard if you sit close enough to your tv.

But Sekiro is different, it is the best checkerboard and the best ps4 free upgrade.

If anyone hasn't played Sekiro yet but are thinking about it, i advise you to not play it on Xbox one or PS4, wait until you get a next gen console and play it on that. It is truly worth it. It looks and runs like a next gen game.

This also has me stoked for Elden Ring. After BluePoint's Demon's Souls, i was worried FromSoftware would never be able to come close to BluePoint's level of picture quality.

But if Elden Ring runs on the same engine as Sekiro, then Elden Ring will also look really nice on PS5/ Series X.

Its kind of crazy how FromSoftware released Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne on the same hardware that they released Sekiro on. Its such a crazy jump in terms of picture quality.

I had given up on the plat because the resource and xp farming seemed so daunting, but one afternoon of sitting down and getting it over with was all I needed. It wasn't nearly as rough as the chalice dungeons that's for sure

I accidentally choose to obey iron code when I very much did not want to

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 10:05 PM PDT

I was doing my second play through of the game after playing through and getting immortal severance ending and I want to get the "bad" ending where you fight Emma and the old dude but for whatever reason my game is glitched (probably from a mod) where I can't tell what I'm selecting in the pause menu or dialogue choices. Needless to say I realized immediately I just forsake my father and need to fight him. I literally only wanted the one mind combat art and now with no backed up save I fear that I will have to spend another few hours in another new game getting up to that point. I haven't killed him or initiated the fight yet but no matter if I quit the game or kill myself he keeps saying that I have forsaken him when I talk to him. Any help would be appreciated with what I should do.

Is this game harder than Dark Souls?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 07:18 PM PDT

Hey guys, I'm a pretty avid gamer. I play a lot of FPS games and would say I'm pretty good. I've played a couple Dark Souls games and usually quit after a couple of hours due to the difficulty. Is Sekiro any easier? Thanks!

    Don't Give Up

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 01:11 PM PDT

I wanted to share my favorite clip from all the soulsborne games. This is one of the sloppiest Genichiro fights I've ever had, as this is my first attempt at him since October 2020. However, it means more to me than any other fight I've had. A lot of times when a fight goes poorly early on I just let myself die and try again. This time, I didn't, and I think that has made a huge difference.

No matter how bad things get, never stop fighting.

Dark souls fan here thinking about sekiro

    Posted: 14 Jul 2021 10:35 AM PDT

I played all the souls games probably a million times. Naturally I would look for other similar games. With demon souls and bloodbourne not available because I don't own a PlayStation. I am going to get sekiro but I am very concerned with difficulty. From what I hear it's more difficult than dark souls and not being able to have a friend to help you is worrying. I usually never summon anyone but if I absolutely need to I can. I know this game is single player and that's no longer an option. Is sekiro really that much harder than dark souls??
