    I've been trying to play this game on and off since release. I've uninstalled it 3 times due to not being able to get used to the game. I'm a former Dark Souls and Bloodborne Fanatic so getting used to parrying was very difficult. I about gave up, but I decided to give it one last shot. I beat the first boss on my first try after dying to him over 20 times in previous attempts. I cannot wait to play through this game I got goosebumps and chills when I finally beat him!

    Lore question about the motives for the final boss.

    I have found two answers for why Isshin wants to fight you, but dont know which is true.

    1. genichiro wished him back with open gate, and through the magic of returning someone from death also binds the will of the wisher onto the one returning, meaning isshin now has the same motives as genichiro.

    2. isshin is returned and simply is honoring genichiro's final wish, meaning he only fights wolf because it's what genichiro wanted.

    both are similar, but which is correct?

    I got tired of dying to a certain boss, so I counted all the paper tags on the Dilapidated Temple [No Spoilers]

    I say "paper tags," but really they're called o-fuda and are hung for protection. I counted:

    • 1 on the right post outside
    • 9 on the floor inside
    • 41 on the ground and baseboard outside
    • 65 on the front overhang and beams

    I counted Each of the four sides along with their respective posts to their right (so left side would include the front left corner etc.) because some tags are diagonal and are on neither side.

    • 24 on the back wall
    • 40 on right wall
    • 44 on left wall
    • 104 on the front (not including doors and transom)
    • 79 on doors and transom

    This gives a total of 407 o-fuda.
