    I know this is lame and plebby but I just have to share my triumph. I'm a big FROM-soft guy and I love this game, got it on ps4 at launch, but struggled a----lot. Couldn't get past Guardian Ape. I recently built a new PC as a graduation gift to myself and starting replaying this time in glorious locked 60fps. Also as usual - my second attempt at a FROM game that I'm struggling with - i looked up some tips and such to get a good a build and play properly. I always try to go in blind but sometimes you just fuck yourself, ya know?

    Anyway, I have been blitzing through - I'm playing great and I even beat Genichiro on my second try and didn't take a single hit from his Tomoe form, a fight that on my first attempt took me probably 20 tries. Today I made it back to the old Ape - and goddamn if it wasn't still a true challenge. But I got him - I beheaded that fucking Centipede that's illuded me for the better part of a year - And I'm still shaking as I'm typing this.

    I bought this game a few days ago. I had my reservations about buying it, due to the difficulty that many people have commented on. I thought I might get angry with the repeated failure. To my surprise the opposite has been the case. Sure, I'm only in the early stages of the game, but I can't believe that I feel so calm about my character dying. I feel a nice balance of detachment from the results, and a desire to keep trying. Slowly learning and improving as I play. This game was worth every cent. Let's see if I still feel the same way in a few weeks from now.

    I have some question concerning the story, can anyone help?

    So I've loved this game since release. It's actually probably one of my favorite games ever, but I've never quite understood the story besides the basic I'm trying to severe the ties of immortality for my lord. But I have some questions:

    1. What exactly is "the divine heir" within Japanese politics? Is he the emperors kid? Why wouldn't something that powerful be with the Shogun? In fact, how is clan Hirata only a "vassal" to Ashina when they have this insane other worldly power of immortality?

    2. Who is the "interior ministry"? Why are they after the Ashina Clan?

    3. Besides it just being a FromSoftware game, why exactly is everyone in the game trying to kill me? Isshin never gave such an order and, if I'm not mistaken, he's the... daiyamo, correct? If Isshin has such respect for me why is he allowing his men to kill me? Why isn't he ordering Genichiro Ashina to stand down with all of his madness? I really don't understand.

    4. All these monsters in the game? Are these Yoki? Oni? Some fucked up version of Kami?

    So yea, sorry for the rant I'm just trying to get a clear understanding of everything.

    Back at it

    Started playing back in December, got pretty deep despite many road bumps but could never beat the damned corrupted monk for some reason. Got frustrated, out the game away.

    Just picked it up again and beat that asshole after an hour or so of getting reacquainted with the game. Now for...everything else

    Thats the only thing stopping me from getting the game :( i really like the souls series for their coop/invasions and its really sad sekiro doesnt have that :(

    I need help

    So I got Sekiro about 3 weeks ago and I have been playing it a lot since then. I've always wanted to get into more rpgs and I've always especially wanted to get into Sekiro. It really is a great game but I'm really bad at it and another reason I wanted the game was because for a long time now I've wanted to master a difficult game but I'm thinking this game is way too hard for me. Even after 3 weeks of playing I still can't get to the first boss and I'm still stuck on the mini boss after the chained ogre even with the first stealth death blow. I've practiced slot with the undead samurai dude in the Dilapidated Temple and I've gotten those skills down pretty well but I still can't fight for shit. And even though I've been playing lots of games for many years those games were more things like need for speed, grand theft auto, mad max, minecraft, forza, terraria, mariokart, super Mario, Tetris, Zelda and so on so I'm not too experienced with the genre and I am extremely confused with most of the game mechanics as well. Does anybody know any tips that can help me or should I just stop playing? Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

    Why won’t the divine child move

    I did the steps I ate the rice gave the rice to Kuro. She has not moved and I think it's because I gave her the holy chapter infested before I was supposed to. Is this why? Did I miss something?
