    I bought Sekiro on day one. I fully gave up on this game twice: first at Poison Pool Snake Eyes, and many months later at Guardian Ape. Then my PS4 formatted and I lost my save so I was sure I'd never restart. Watching my friend play one day inspired me to start over, and I realized that you just need to throw yourself at the bosses and die as many times as it takes to win. After 3-4 overnight sessions and saying "I hate this fucking game" anywhere from 100-1000 times, I managed to defeat Isshin, the Sword Saint and achieve Immortal Severance, and I have no longer wasted $60 on this game. I was 100% sure I'd never beat it. Thanks for reading.

    The Purifcation Ending really feels like the conclusion to a fantastic game. The music, visuals and voice acting were truely incredible here.

    i'll be the first to admit that i kinda suck at video games. my boyfriend introduced me to the souls series about a year ago and it was definitely different from any other video game i've played in the past. i've only played bloodborne (which i did beat eventually and it was fantastic) and now i'm trying my hand at sekiro.

    i'm really, really bad at parrying and deflecting. i always have been, and i'm aware that that is a huge part of combat in sekiro. i tend to spam buttons and panic during combat lol. i'm currently at the part near the beginning where you fight the chained ogre and hooo boy, i've died at least 4 times to him. i cannot beat juzou the drunkard. i already gave the sculptor dragonrot :(

    long story short: i keep dying and as a new souls fan i need some tips from anyone who's willing to help. thanks guys!!

    What is the significance of the second Genichiro fight?

    Curious question. I went to Senpou temple and fought some of the mini bosses over there before returning to kill Geni. What would have happened if I never took the Geni fight and just kept progressing through Senpou?
