My name is Gyobu Masataka Oniwa

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 07:09 PM PDT

My name is Gyobu Masataka Oniwa . I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Ashina , where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for Ashina clan, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, as long as I breath, the castle gate will remain closed.

    Top five combat arts

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 06:00 PM PDT

I've played the game around sixteen times, and these are my personal top five strongest combat arts. Something important to consider with combat arts is they're less about damage, and more about versatility. Also, high monk got nerfed a while ago. Feels less like Buddhist badassery and more like slapping your opponent with jelly feet. Great range and dodging potential, but that's about it for me.

    1. Ichimonji double I put this at number five for two reasons. One, the follow up is great for stoping counter attacks. Two, the tracking is better than you would expect. I also believe this art is better than the Ashina cross because while the Ashina cross might do slightly more damage and comes out much faster, ichimonji doesn't require spirit emblems, and of course the follow up changes it a ton. EDIT; the significant drawback to Ichimonji is that long, still startup, especially if you focus it. Timing and spacing are key to use this art correctly. Easily the best free combat art for both damage and posture. Cool factor: 6/10

    2. One mind What's great about this art is that it has great AOE and a ton of puncture damage. Against bosses and group fights, this is great. You can move out of the blade storm by jumping or using prosthetics too. Also, I've even used this art for stealth. If you approach two guys from behind and use this combat art, you can do substantial and perhaps even lethal damage (especially if you use yashikiru's candy/ spirit fall). The two major problems are the high spirit emblem cost (3 emblems) and the time of vulnerability until the blade storm comes out. Using this combat art poorly can give enemies easy hits, so you have to wait until the enemy has high enough recovery time to use this move (or have spacing). Cool factor: 9/10

    3. Shadowfall This art is by far the most reliable combat art in my opinion. The range on this thing is awesome and boast solid damage and superb stopping power. From the way I see it, there's nothing really bad about this combat art. It pretty much always hits bosses (I believe it even goes through owls mikiri counter), has great stopping power, and has a ton of safety after you jump off. Cool factor: 7/10

    4. Dragon flash One word. Range. This is basically the sniper rifle of all the combat arts. The uncharged version looks fast, but the start up makes it a moderate speed. The uncharged version still has pretty solid damage. But the beauty of this art is with its charge. With its charge, it's damage increases by a substantial margin, and the fact that it can hit across the entirety of almost all boss arenas (excluding DoH and sometimes SSI). I highly recommend combing this art with yashikiru's candy and the ceremonial tanto, and laughing as you drain the health of bosses from a mile away. Cool factor: 9/10

    5. Empowered mortal draw This combat art in my opinion is by far and away the most unique and powerful. This is because unlike all the other combat arts, the main feature of this combat art is its ridiculous damage to both health and posture. To list it's cons, the double empowered slash is extremely slow and expensive (3 emblems per slash), but that's it. Most bosses/ enemies usually have one or two attacks that allow for at least one empowered slash (note that the second slash does not need to be empowered). Now, the slashes have good range, hit multiple enemies, and like I said earlier, do insane damage. This is fully realized when you combine the empowered slash with yashikiru's candy/ spirit fall. You can burn through bosses super easy with wise use of this art. Not only that, but even without emblems, it still does solid damage and is great for group fight. Cool factor: 10/10.

TLDR; 5: Double Ichimonji. 4. One mind.
    3. Shadow fall. 2. Dragon flash.
    1. Empowered mortal draw.

I'm interested in hearing what you guys think.

Hello, sekiro fans! I have never played a soulsborne game before, and Sekiro looks awesome!

    Posted: 16 Aug 2020 09:25 PM PDT

As you've read, I have never played a soulsborne game before. I have seen a bunch of gameplay, and it looks like so much fun. And the game I will start with (and I know this is a bad idea) is sekiro! I have a switch, a PS3, and a stadia, and I am not getting any new consoles, because I feel content with what I have. And sekiro will be coming out on stadia on October 29th, and I am so excited. I understand that it is hard, but it looks badass.

So I want you sekiro veterans to help me prepare in any way for the next couple months until October 29th. I want you to tell me everything I need to know. Help me train mentally, physically, in any way possible, until that day. Because I will be a hype machine every single day, and I want to know what to expect for when I can finally the most badass looking game ever.
