    Wondering about getting that platinum

    Okay, I finally beat sekiro!!!!! .......(shura ending)

    Now I've started in on NG+. The game is still fun. Maybe more cause I know what I'm doing now. The seven spears guy only took me 4 tries this time! I mikiri'd the shit out of him.

    Feeling confident, I've now thought I should try and go for the platinum. But now I'm wondering, everyone who has a platinum has beaten the game 4 times? Or do most of you save and start up again from a certain point. And if so, ISNT THAT CHEATING?!?

    I'd like to do it, but I have a stack of games unopened calling to me. AND with all the new games coming out in the coming months I don't know if I can give sekiro that much time.

    Question about Sunken Valley area.

    So I just killed the serpent in the Sunken Valley. The one you kill with a plunging attack from the Sunken Valley Cavern idol. After the death animation, you're placed on a ledge on the other side of the cavern. I fell off the ledge and now it seems like it's impossible to get back over there. There are no points for me to grapple either form the Sunken Valley Cavern idol above or the Riven Cave idol below. Is there anything over there, and if so, have I permanently missed out on it?

    What am I missing with this game?

    Disclaimer: I had dabbled with Souls/Bloodborne for awhile but life happens and I never really got into them. Last Christmas I bought and loved Jedi: Fallen Order so I figured I would kind of work backwards into the Souls series by next buying Sekiro.

    So I know there is the learning curve and it just takes time, but I have been playing awhile and I feel like I am lucking out more than actually improving as I progress (currently at and murdered by Gyoubu Oniwa). What am I missing?

    I prefer fighting enemies with careful parries/dodges/counters, but it feels like the only option is Sekiro is to be aggressive and all offense, am I missing something? Are there certain skills or items I need to make parrying a more viable strategy? I may be too used to Jedi, where every enemy telegraphed their attacks, but it feels like some guys in this game just don't even have good attacks to wait for until you get a good counter.

    I guess I am just asking for broad strokes, what the fuck am I not understanding and why I am still bad at this game haha what are general ideas I can work on to improve?
