    Finally took down SSI - greatest boss fight ever!

    I know I'm preaching to the choir here but holy fuck was that fight satisfying! I died 50+ times but every time felt like I was getting the timing down, and in the end I nailed so many perfect deflects that I absolutely tore through the first 2 phases and in only the third time I've even been to his final phase I landed 3 lightning counters and smoked him. That was the best I've ever played against a boss and I feel like a shinobi god.

    But you know what's really special about the fight? Getting to smack down Genichiro first. I normally hate pre-boss bosses like that - in most games they're just artificial difficulty - but it's so goddamn satisfying to just swat aside the game's first real antagonist like a fly and gets you ready and confident going into the Sword Saint.

    Can't wait to fight the final bosses of the Shura ending in my NG+!

    Sword Saint Isshin

    I've finally made it to the end of the game but for the life of me I can't seem to master this old mans patterns.

    I see off Genichiro easily but then when it gets to the actual fight with Isshin it all goes out of the window.

    The furthest I've made it is to stage 3 when he draws his spear and pistol but I want to know a reliable way of beating this stage as I'm dodging under his giant jumping smash to get behind him but before I can land a hit from behind he's almost counter my move and swinging that giant spear round and hitting me with his back turned to me which he follows with another downward smash and I'm dead.

    The same with his combat art he's almost taking damage but it's not interrupting his move so he just turns round and hammers me with it.

    I'm going to persist and keep on because I know if I can get him to the lightening stage I can almost try and bait him into the move to allow me to reverse it (possibly cheating but I just want to finish it at least once now) and I've watched hours of videos on how to beat him but I always seem to fall to the giant spears ridiculous reach and damage. So any help or pointers will be greatly received.
