    When Elden Ring gets delayed...

The ACTUAL saddest part in a Fromsoft game

You dare question the Iron Code?

I am literally shaking right now, finally did it

Perfect as always, and completes the collection with Fosswarwala.

I still have 2 more playthroughs to do before platinuming the game but beating Isshin during the first playthrough is still one of my proudest moments. Art made by me.

There is a Sekiro reference in the last Gintama Movie...looks like Sorachi is a fan of Sekiro lol

Defeating Isshin charmless, bell demon, no healing every day until Elden Ring is out (day 146)

    Something about this feels right

PSA: I’ve heard that a lot of people have been struggling with the mist noble, so here is an easy cheese method I have developed, to take no damage and easily get past this fight. Fighting him head on can be way too dangerous, so I use this cheese strategy instead to be as safe as possible

    Took me about three weeks

    FINALLY!

Just recently discovered you can prevent the bridge in fountain head palace from being broke by the carp if you kill the carp before crossing the bridge

5 playthroughs later and it’s finally here. Was a pain grinding EXP for that last skill but it sure was worth it. As a side bonus, I beat the sword saint right after getting the platinum charmless with demon bell in one run. Felt pretty unreal!

Just beat Genichiro for the first time, Mr Miyazaki take a bow

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 08:40 PM PDT

I'm doing my first run through - blind ofc - and knowing from's philosophy around teaching the player I decided to very intentionally play it like there is an intended lesson with each boss/mechanic. It makes sense that every move/item was included in the game for a reason and is the intended/ideal method for dealing with some kind of obstacle in the game (otherwise why include it?).

Anyway I'm sure like most people doing a blind run, after about 5-10 tries and a lot of hard work I beat Genichiro... Only for him to go Criss Angel mind freak and start shooting lightning from his balls. Tool tip comes up saying counter tge lightning in the air - sure let's do that! I'm not familiar enough and don't read his tell's and get one shotted twice and rage quit and decide to get stronger and come back - after all Mr Miyazaki is taking all my xp and coins when I die so I think he's telling me not to grind it out.

I beat a bunch of other stuff and after defeating the two centipede giraffe rhythm game deflect guys and the giant dad on Mt Kongo (anyone else feel sad throwing him into oblivion?) I have a solid grip on how easy and forgiving deflecting is, and also my level 2 sword is like wet cardboard against the enemies I'm facing now.

I head back to Geni and my god, this fight is so different now, I feel like I'm in control. It's so intuitive, getting up in his face deflecting everything, attacking every opening, mikiri countering and punishing, it just feels good now. Second try and I get the deathblow on his final form and fuck it up by accidentally shadow rushing him on the deathblow. I didn't really even mind since it was such a fun satisfying fight. Next try he's gone and I just want to give the devs a standing ovation.

They must have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours on the combat system to get it that tight, in 30 years of gaming it is hands down the tightest combat in a videogame I've seen. The L1 cancel window being just small enough to be forgiving but not so long to make you reckless feels like it's reading your mind. Even just the small things like Geni going to attack then reacting to you attacking and putting up a block (you really see it if you L1 cancel) and the way if you take a breath between each attack and reassess you absolutely dominate him, I've never learned so much from a boss or appreciated one as much as Geni. Amazing.

On a funny related note, there's a tip during Lady Butterfly to do dodge attacks so naturally I do as Mike Zaki says and spam them and proceed to pretty much stun lock her.

    I BEAT THE GAME

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 05:15 PM PDT

I freakin beat the game. Owned it since launch and have since been whittling it down. Finally beat Isshin Sword Saint after being locked in battle with him for 4 straight hours. Worth it.

    No replayability.

... or so I thought. Bought the game new. Finished it once. Loved it but moved on. Decided to pick it up again and do the Shura ending since I never fought Emma and Isshin Ashina. I felt disgusting for doing that by the way. Can't put it down now. There is so much variety in the amazing combat hidden inside prosthetics and arts. Even just the basic swordplay is amazing. The visual and audio cues are so well done. On my way to platinum which is something I've never desired to do for any other game. Sorry for rant. No one I know plays games like Sekiro.

Yet another “I got the platinum post”

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 10:02 PM PDT

I had given up on getting it about 6 months ago bc the perceived grind to get the last skills seemed unfun to me. But after getting the plat for Ghost of Tshushima, Sekiro has been on the back of mind any time i play a game.

So I went back into my old save file. It was NG++++ and I was at Owl Father and I deleted the data off of my ps4 multiple times bc I was I just so frustrated with relearning everything and losing so much. Grinding too often felt tedious and it just felt impossible to get through it all.

I'm just so glad I stuck with it. Once I finally beat Owl, I got the chance to rediscover why I love it this game so much. Having so many ways to reconstruct your shinobi tools and learning how to allocate the spirt emblems became a delight and I just couldn't stop. Eventually, I only grinded enemies when I was close to the next level up, but it's all about moving forward.

I never thought I'd get the plat for this game but I did and I'm so proud of it. Now I truly don't know what to play.

got the plat with Bloodborne on my first character and have played through 3 others since then. And I don't like the pvp enough in DS3 to even really go for that one. I'm kind of sad bc I don't know what game to play now, I'm still extremely glad I got to this point.

Got the Platinum last night. Definitely one of my favorite games of all time. Not sure if I've ever played a game with a more satisfying combat system

Killed tenzen , shinobi hunter and gyro guy in a single day.. feeling so happy and having great adrenaline rush..

    Posted: 17 Jul 2021 11:32 AM PDT

Hey guys.. am a very casual gamer (have only played witcher and RDR2 on lower difficulty) .. got this game without knowing anything about it and struggled with the first miniboss and uninstalled the game (twice actually).. started again recently and somehow got till ogre.. but just could not kill tenzen so played hirata estate and was mauled by shinobi hunter repeatedly.. skipped tenzen and reached the horse guy and needless to say was screwed bad.. after a week of struggle at all 3 points today something clicked and I killed all 3 of them ... Felt so happy and just wanted to share somewhere.. sorry for long post..

TL:DR - after weeks of struggle killed all 3 in a single session of gaming.. so now gonna struggle with bull for a week I guess..
