The concept art for Genichiro is so intriguing, especially with that seven branched sword.

I stopped playing for a year after I beat the game, then I decided for the hell of it to come back and platinum it. Helluva ride.

Love how visually stunning this game is. Even without a photo mode. (Screenshots captured during cinematics or with the Nightjar Monocular)

    Sekiro

I'm in endgame in sekiro and I wanted to share my opinion on it. I feel like the game has no bad elements. I like the story that can be easily understood. Nothing terribly supernatural or creepy as in bloodborne or there are no strange ancient gods. The story is rather clear. In my opinion it's harder than bloodborne and dark souls and I like it. The shortcuts and connections are brilliant. For example in fountainhead palace, I was surprised how from soft could make these connections to this main segment so many times. In general, the whole location looks as if it were small and yet I sat in it for a long time. I love the bosses so much. Their design, in all bosses, is brilliant. There wasn't a boss which I didn't like. There were only some that I liked less or more than others. The combat system is so cool, it feels so smooth like you really were a ninja samurai. I love the deflection and posture mechanic. From software didn't need dozens of weapons and armor sets to make good game, magnificent game. You have to use your skill to defeat each boss. And as you overcome by pairing dozens of attacks and kill a boss after dying hundreds of times I felt such great satisfaction I can't describe it. When I finally defeated guardian ape I was shaking erratically in a state of utter ecstasy. The satisfaction was even greater than in dark souls or bloodborne in my opinion. This masterpiece is the best game in the fucking world and nobody can tell me otherwise. I literally cannot describe how I love this game. Sorry for some grammatical errors but I was just writing what came to my mind.

    Is Sekiro worth my money?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 05:34 PM PDT

Sekiro is a game I've been eyeing for a while. It looks gorgeous, challenging and like a screen breaking game.

I've tried dark souls 3 and gave up on the ice dog boss. I'm new to these harder difficulty games and I seriously struggled with ds3. I've heard that Sekiro is on par, if not a little harder, than the dark souls and bloodborne games.

The game is still £60 on ps store but I'm willing to buy it. I just don't know how much I'll enjoy it.

I also have a very bad habit of dropping single player games halfway through, which is why I haven't finished Spider-Man and god of war even after buying them both on release. They're both just sat on my PS4, watching as I go back to my most played games.

Is Sekiro worth my money, blood and tears?

How do I get my deflect timing down?

    Posted: 28 May 2020 08:40 PM PDT

I'm like 25 hours in, and most of the time I'm just spamming the block button to deflect unless I know the enemy super well :p It's a really bad habit and I need to get out of it. Any tips for this? Thanks!

I was thinking last night about the first encounter you have with Genichiro at the beginning of the game and how it is a scripted loss. When you win the fight as opposed to the usual cutscene where he distracts you and still cuts off your arm there could be a different one where in Genichiro still gets away with Kuro for stories sake but he doesn't manage to dismember you and instead you are forced to play the whole new game cycle with no prosthetic weapons/tool. Obviously the grappling hook would have to be integrated somehow but I think it would be a pretty cool concept to add some extra difficulty repeated runs.
