[OC] While Sekiro trained mastering the art of the blade , Isshin spent his time playing FPS games.

Oh lord. I‘m shaking! I finally beat him with the umbrella method. Everytime I had to use a ceremonial tanto my heart skipped a beat. Feels so good to beat him. This was by far the most challenging bossfight in quite a while!

    Some considerations about sekiro..

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 07:40 AM PST

So, I've been playing Sekio for a while now (just beaten the Guardian Ape) and I have one single question..

Why are the boss fights sooo cool and funny? It isn't normal for a game to be THIS good. Every boss is good in its own way and adapting to each is what makes the game fun and dynamic.

The sword clashes are the finest ones in the whole market; Genichiro's fight is just art: the way we dance with our swords is just amazing.

Sekiro really deserves it's GOTY title.

    The real life Sekiro bosses

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 01:54 PM PST

I just found out that Isshin and his grandson Genichiro were real members of the Ashina clan and not just characters created for the game, and they both died in 1862. I'm probably about to go down a history rabbit hole and was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the real Ashina clan during that time period?

Edit: Btw I can find plenty of info on the Sengoku era Ashina but what I'm looking for and struggling to find is any info on the Ashina clan ~ 1780-1862, and about the real Isshin and Genichiro alive during that time.

FINALLY did it. Now on to the gauntlets!

I never understood what people meant by saying broken hitboxes until I fought the demon of hatred.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 05:20 PM PST

Holy shit this dude can hit you even if you aren't anywhere close to him. It's such a clusterfuck.

I promised myself I wouldn't cheese any boss and beat them the right way (generally, if you know what I mean). But god damn I want to send him off a cliff so badly.

    Demon of Hatred help

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 07:24 PM PST

How do I dodge his 3-4 hit combo (2 swipe with the arm, 1 stomp and he may or may not swipe again) and his phase 2 arm slam that leave a fire field? I tried to dodge to the right with the combo but sometimes it still caught me if I'm not fast enough. These 2 things are the only move that give me trouble (for now)

Fighting Owl with no parries. Possible, though not for me.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 10:51 AM PST

The Demon of Hatred is a Dark Souls boss, not a Sekiro boss.

    Posted: 20 Feb 2021 09:59 PM PST

Leading up to this point the game tells you not to be a wuss and just deflect. Then you get to this boss, and it's best to jump and step dodge, just like Dark Souls.
